Love for Sandy Hook

Saturday, December 14, 2013

"As educators, we remember and honor our fallen colleagues and their students from
Sandy Hook School.  We honor them each day in our classrooms in which we continue their
dream of teaching our children.  We honor their memory with our service.  Join with teachers everywhere in committing random acts of kindness to show our love for Sandy Hook."

On this tragic day please show love to one another. Love and kindness should triumph over evil.
Love those around you,  hold your loved ones a little tighter, and live in each moment more
than you ever have. Our moments are fleeting and our lives as we live each day are not a
guarantee. Rejoice in the little moments and the big moments for they are what matter.

Currently December

Saturday, December 7, 2013

It has been quite a while since I linked up with Farley’s Currently, but I love Christmas, and we happened to have gotten a snow day yesterday. So I decided I would make time
Listening :  I have to admit. I think most hallmark movies are incredibly cheesy. But every Christmas I just can’t help myself. I find myself watching every Christmas Cheesy Movie ever made. And I Love. Every. Minute. Of. It. =)
Loving:  Who doesn’t love Christmas? The spirit, the excitement, the love, the tradition, the great gift God gave us, the spirit in the eyes of Children! Ahh! I love, Love, Love, it all!
Thinking: I must, I must, I must bust my butt…. To be productive hopefully….As I sit on the couch watching a Hallmark Movie. Bahahaha!
Wanting: A massage…. Nuf said.
Needing : I am a flip flop girl at heart. I love them and when school comes back in session, I run and grab my Clarks and wear them without socks. Easy slip on, easy slip off, and comfy to boot. I find my self stealing the boyfriends socks when the weather gets cold. I don’t have a problem with this, but I am pretty sure he does. ;)
Favorite Christmas Tradition : After graduating High school and seeing all of my friends start to drift apart, I wanted to do something to get them to all come together. 3 years ago I decided to have a Christmas Cookie Party. I invited a few friends, we each made our favorite Christmas Cookie recipe and then swapped cookies with each other. So when we each went our separate ways, we have several kinds of cookies that we didn’t have to bake and got to talk and catch up. It has become a tradition and on Dec. 21st we will have our 3rd annual cookie party.
My other favorite tradition is driving through neighborhoods to look at all of the Christmas lighting. I love it. It is SO beautiful!
I hope you are enjoying the Christmas Season as well! =)

Deck The Halls with TPT! (A Linky)

Sunday, December 1, 2013

I don’t know about you, but I love Christmas! No, Seriously. LOVE it. I love everything about it and luckily I am allowed to celebrate it at the school that I work at.  I’ve see the awesome visual schedules that several teachers do. I would love to be able to do that each week, but I am lucky to plan what I need to. I do, however, have December ALL planned out already. Yep, you read that right. =) So exciting! I love the age students that I have right now. It is such a great age.
Enough with my love of Christmas, when my wonderful bloggy friend said that she was going to have a Christmas themed linky for the upcoming TPT sale, I knew I had to take part!

I am playing these wonderful hits for you:

Oh, Management! If you are like me, classroom management is a MUST. If it is not effective and in place, you will get nowhere. I loved using classdojo over the past two years, but needed a way to make the points my students were earning more tangible. That’s why I created this packet "Class Dojo Behavior Rewards and More". It gives a variety of prize options for points and lets students keep track of their points weekly. It is a top seller in my store and it will help your kiddos with putting their best foot forward.

It’s beginning to look a lot like visual writing

This little product was a brainchild of mine, after struggling to help my students learn how to use a dictionary. “My
First Visual Dictionary” allows you to decide which way you would love to introduce the words to them. All at once or certain words at a time. It is fabulous for early elementary students, special education students, and ESL students.

Walking in a Math Wonderland
These “Shape Poems” are perfect for getting pre-
k and kinder students to memorize their shapes. The cute rhymes help to reinforce learning. Check them out!

Thanks for stopping by! =)

Happy Merry Christmas Planning! (if you are lucky enough too)
